Human Ground

*Human Ground* was born during late fall of 2003. Founding member *Tarvo Valm*,living in L A, was eager to put together a true thrash/death metal project. Valm began looking for perfect band members in 2004 while finalizing the whole concept.

*Early July 2004* Their first 3-song demo "Carrier Of The Remains" was released. The word began to spread that something big was coming!

*July 16, 2004* became Human Ground's birthday when they played at the Hard Rock Laager, the biggest metal festival in Estonia, for hundreds of headbanging fans. Human Ground was completely formed and presented as the new hope in the Estonian metal scene. They played together with Dismember from Sweden, and a new “Metal Star” was born!

Studio sessions began in the beginning of 2005. Deadlines were set and there was no time to waste - 17 songs had to be done by March 1st.  The band was also scheduled to play an upcoming show on January 21st - opening for *Entombed* from Sweden at Rock Café in Tallinn.

At the end of March 2005, the album was finally mixed and mastered. During that busy period, HG took a trip to Vilnius, Lithuania in order to open for *Behemoth* (from Poland).

*July 1, 2008* was a memorable day for the members – Human Ground was the only opening act for SLAYER. That was a blast and a dream come true!

*Present time - May 2010* It has been 5 years since the 1st album came out. New ideas are already recorded and studio sessions for the new album should start soon ...

... stay tuned for upcoming news from Human Ground!
